Our infants and toddlers enjoy painting and messy play. At the art table when they notice the paint being placed along with some brushes, they come to the table and sit on one of the chairs. Some of the children try to get the paint pots and the brushes and start painting on the table and on their hands straight away. Our infants not only wants to feel the texture, they also wants to see how it tastes like. So they try to use their fingers to get the paint from the pot and also try to lick it. Few of the toddlers sat there and waited for the teacher to give them a turn. So to support their interest as well as to have fun, we encouraged them to do hand prints using various colours. Later we turned the hand prints into a beautiful flower.
